Job Summary

The RD&E Utility/Grinder/Operator supports the process team developing new products. The position can expand as the individual gains experience. The role involves material grinding, roll changes, trailer load/unload, machine operation, product packing, machine cleaning, material inventory maintenance, and assisting with tool setups.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Operations

• Operates thermoforming and auxiliary equipment (i.e., grinders, balers).
• Inspects finished and in-process products.
• Operates lift trucks to manage material inventory, loads and unloads trailers at the dock, conducts roll changes at the thermoforming machines.
• Assists with RPs and machines change overs.
• Opportunity to expand duties toward complex machine operation and greater responsibility.
  
  

Safety

• Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements.
• Report to supervision conditions or practices that are either unsafe or that may adversely impact the environment, to ensure prompt resolution of potential hazards.
  
  

Product Safety and Quality

• Follows Product Safety and Quality standards.
• Follows GMP’s in regard to food contact packaging as it pertains to the employee.
• Follows IPC product defense standards and complies with all SQF requirements.
