Job summary

INX International Ink Co. in West Chicago, IL seeks an experienced R&D Chemist to drive inkjet formulation and develop innovative ink technologies. You will troubleshoot customer challenges, evaluate materials, and support manufacturing in a collaborative, autonomous setting.

The role requires a chemistry background with 5+ years in inkjet formulation, strong data analysis, and excellent communication. A state-of-the-art R&D center supports growth and cutting-edge projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5+ years of inkjet ink formulation experience.
• Knowledge of inkjet printing processes and chemistry fundamentals.
• Strong math, science, and data interpretation skills.
• Proficient in record-keeping and clear written/verbal communication.
• Ability to interpret data and draw effective conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot issues with existing technologies and customer challenges.
• Develop new inkjet technologies based on customer needs.
• Evaluate raw materials and optimize formulations for cost savings.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing.
• Publish project reports and other documents to sales and customers.
• Maintain laboratory equipment.

This role offers a starting range of $77,000 to $90,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.

As an R&D Chemist you will be responsible for:

• Troubleshooting issues with existing technologies as well as customer challenges
• Developing new inkjet technologies based on customer needs

• Providing technical support to manufacturing
• Publishing project reports & other documents direct to sales & customers

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

• Have a Bachelors degree in Chemistry or equivalent
• Have 5+ years of inkjet ink formulation experience
• Knowledge of inkjet printing processes
• Demonstrate strong Math and Science skills
• Be Proficient with record-keeping
• Have good and effective written, reading comprehension and verbal skills
• Be able to interpret data and draw effective conclusions

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

• SAP experience
• Knowledge & experience with UV curing processes and formulations
