Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital Jordan Valley seeks a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) to provide high-quality care for patients undergoing invasive cardiovascular procedures, including catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, and EP studies. You will assist physicians, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety with precise hemodynamic monitoring and aseptic technique.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a diploma, associate, or baccalaureate program in health science or invasive cardiovascular technology.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required on hire or within six months of hire.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI; OR RCES; OR RRT with post-primary Cardiac Interventional Radiography certification through ARRT.
• Surgical Assistant License or equivalent licensure on hire unless SA duties are covered by another Colorado license (Colorado staff only).

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures including catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, IABP operation, and electrophysiology studies.
• Explain procedures to patients and position x-ray equipment for optimal imaging.
• Monitor and record patient hemodynamic and physiologic data; ensure safe radiologic practices.
• Provide scrub assistance using aseptic technique and manage blood samples.
• Provide post-procedure instructions and follow-up guidance to patients.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and uphold care standards.
