Job summary

Holy Cross Hospital - Jordan Valley is seeking a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) to support physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures such as diagnostic and interventional catheterization, pacemaker/defibrillator implantation, IABP operation, and electrophysiology studies.

You will explain procedures to patients, set up x-ray equipment for optimal imaging, monitor physiologic data, and maintain aseptic technique while performing scrub duties and handling blood

Qualifications

• Graduate of health science program or accredited invasive CV technology program.
• BLS from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS on hire or within six months of hire.
• RCIS via CCI or RCES; OR ARRT with Cardiac Interventional Radiography.
• Surgical assistant license or equivalent licensing on hire where required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and position x-ray equipment for imaging.
• Monitor and record patient hemodynamic data and maintain aseptic technique.
• Scrub assistance, manage blood samples, and provide post-procedure instructions.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain radiology safety practices and high attention to detail.
