Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA, is hiring a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) to join the Cath Lab team. The role includes acting as a first assistant during diagnostic and interventional procedures, managing imaging systems, and coordinating post‑procedure care in a high-volume environment.

The position requires ARRT CI certifications, RCIS, BLS, and ACLS within 90 days, with a 7am–5:30pm shift and a robust call schedule.

Qualifications

• Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist with invasive cardiac environment experience (1 year preferred).
• Medication administration experience preferred.
• EP and Cardiac Cath experience preferred.
• Sterile technique experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Administers medications under physician direction and ensures HIPAA and accreditation compliance.
• Acts as first assistant to physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures (cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, EP studies).
• Operates and monitors advanced imaging and hemodynamic equipment; ensures accurate data collection.
• Prepares patients, provides real-time monitoring, documents procedures, and coordinates post-procedure care.
