Job Title: Senior Construction Manager

Location: Remote (preference to be located in the Albany / NYC regions)

Duration: 12 Months

Base pay range: $60.00/hr - $70.00/hr

Job Description: Seeking a Sr Project Management Professional with extensive construction management experience to help monitor construction and compliance activities, schedule alignment, and potential risks to an on-time completion of a very large, international infrastructure project. 25% Travel weekly or monthly is required to various locations of the project site.

General Guidance for Expected Years of Experience:

  • 10+ Years

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead monitoring and reporting of construction progress, attend multi-agency meetings and analyze submitted reports;
  • Organize and lead site visits in the field throughout project corridor;
  • Lead the proactive identification and reporting on project and schedule risk along with mitigation activities as needed;
  • Perform contract compliance monitoring and maintain tracking tools, escalating issues as needed;
  • Maintain construction reports and documentation on SharePoint;
  • Participate in internal and external project meetings;
  • Develop appropriate project metrics and tracking mechanisms;
  • Generate charts, tables, and tools as necessary to quickly convey project status to executives;
  • Other duties as required that contribute to the key outcomes of the Large Scale Renewables team.

Minimum and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in construction management, in-field monitoring, scheduling and risk, and contract compliance.
  • Lead construction management and monitoring expertise.
  • Lead schedule creation, forecasting, and analysis, including time and resources experience.
  • Ability to travel across project area for in-field site visits and attending meetings.
  • Expertise in contract interpretation and analysis of compliance.
  • Familiar with RFP development and evaluation.
  • Knowledge of Article VII permitting processes.
  • Strengths to develop and maintain relationships with state regulatory agencies.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Experience cross-collaborating to assist with program event planning and development of materials for the media.

Certifications and Qualifications:

  • Certified PMP, preferred.
  • B.S + 10 years of construction experience, or MS + 3-7 years of construction experience, mandatory.
  • OSHA 10-Hour construction safety training - minimum level, mandatory.
  • Desired: Railroad Safety Certification.
