Job Title

Research Data Scientist - Oncology

Job Responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated bioinformatics contractor to join our research data science team. The candidate will support oncology research projects. Main responsibilities include:

  1. Programming and troubleshooting bioinformatics analysis workflows.
  2. Analyzing high-throughput omics datasets, such as scRNASeq, TCR-Seq, WES, ATAC-Seq, and proteomics.
  3. Conducting biological signatures and pathways analysis.
  4. Curation of gene signatures and pathways from literature and public sources.
  5. Supporting other bioinformatics analyses for research oncology projects as assigned.
Knowledge, Experience, and Skills
  • Advanced degree in bioinformatics, computational biology, biostatistics, computer science, or related fields.
  • Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • Fundamental knowledge of cancer biology and immunology.
  • Basic understanding of statistical analysis.
  • Strong programming skills in R, Perl, or Python.
  • Experience with open-source bioinformatics tools and large omics datasets (e.g., TCGA, GTEx, CCLE, DepMap).
  • Ability to work semi-independently, with effective communication skills, proactive attitude, and strong work ethic.
