Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a professional in Overland Park, KS to lead communication designs and coordinate with other engineering disciplines. Ideal candidates will have extensive knowledge of telecommunication systems and structured cabling, as well as required certification as a Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD).

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience designing applicable telecommunication systems.
• Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements.
• Knowledge of inside plant cabling infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead communication designs and coordinate with other disciplines.
• Create conceptual and detailed systems designs.
• Manage assigned budgets, scopes and schedules.

Skills

Knowledge of NEC, IEEE, EIA, TIA industry standards

Strong knowledge of structured cabling systems

Experience in outside plant (OSP) design

Experience in audio-visual (AV) system design

Education
