Summary/Objective:

Responsible for the daily maintenance and care of the grounds, irrigation, and seasonal color.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensure that the grounds are kept free of litter.
  • Use a variety of equipment such as mowers, blowers, clippers, and edgers to create and prep soil for plant placement. Responsible for set up, clean up, and maintaining trucks and machinery. Prune, plant, and maintain shrubs, groundcovers, and other landscape materials.
  • Mow, edge, and blow turf segments. Install and care for seasonal color annuals.
  • Participate in OSHA/Safety programs within the resort through awareness in daily job functions.
Work Environment:

Applicants must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, performing physically demanding work. The noise level is usually moderate to loud. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.

Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience is helpful but not mandatory; understanding of landscape basics is necessary.
  • Mechanical skills such as minor mower/equipment repair and irrigation repair are a plus.
  • Must be able to provide resort-quality hospitality to all guests.
  • You must be at least 18 years old, enthusiastic, dependable, and able to work safely with equipment like power saws and cutters.
