Job summary

The Place for Children with Autism in Elgin hires Behavior Therapists to work one-on-one with children aged 2–8 with autism, helping them develop communication and daily-living skills. You will implement therapy plans created by BCBA's, collect data, and discuss progress with the team.

Training for RBT certification is fully paid, and no prior experience is required. The role offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for advancement as you gain certification and experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and insurance.
• No prior experience required; RBT certification support provided.
• Must be willing to travel to other clinics as needed.

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with children aged 2–8 with ASD to build communication, social and daily-living skills.
• Implement therapy programs designed by BCBA staff, collect data and contribute to team discussions.
• Engage with children using play, movement, and humor to promote growth.
• Partner with families to celebrate wins and address challenges.
