Job summary

ExcelPrep in Champaign, IL is looking for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to implement ABA and direct-instruction plans for children aged 3–13 under supervision. You will collect data, maintain notes, and support reading, writing, math, and functional skills in a structured setting.

The role requires an RBT certification (or eligibility), knowledge of ABA, and strong communication and teamwork skills. On-site work with opportunities for professional growth and supervision are offered.

Qualifications

• Must have current RBT certification from BACB or be eligible for supervision.
• Knowledge of ABA principles and data collection.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Patience, adaptability, and child-centered approach.
• Must pass background check and TB screening.

Responsibilities

• Implement ABA and direct-instruction plans under BCBA supervision.
• Collect reliable data and maintain session notes and data sheets.
• Deliver structured instruction in reading, writing, math, and functional skills.
• Incorporate OT-informed strategies within RBT scope.
• Monitor safety and implement behavior support plans using positive approaches.
• Collaborate with BCBA, teachers, therapists, and families.
• Promote independence and generalization of skills.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing supervision.
