Job summary

Epic Minds Therapy in Asheville, NC is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician (RBT) to work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities. You will implement ABA-based interventions, collect data, and help monitor progress under BCBA supervision.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, HIPAA-compliant documentation, and collaboration with families and educators to support communication, social and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with children or individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and behavioral therapy techniques.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, documentation, and records management.
• Ability to conduct assessments and maintain patient records.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality (HIPAA).
• Background in special education or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
• Provide direct support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities in various settings.
• Collect and record data on client behaviors and progress towards goals.
• Assist in patient assessments and intake processes to gather relevant information.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
• Support clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills.
