Job summary

Adelbrook in Manchester, CT, is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support education and residential programs for children and adolescents with ASD and IDD. The role blends direct ABA service delivery with leadership, training, and administrative duties.

Under supervision from a BCBA, you will implement individualized plans, collect data, participate in supervision, and help ensure high-quality care across settings.

Qualifications

• Current RBT certification through BACB or equivalent approved by BACB.
• Experience in residential, therapeutic, or special education settings is required or preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality and ethical standards.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior support and skill plans under supervision.
• Apply PBIS and positive behavior support strategies.
• Provide direct behavioral support across classrooms, residential and community sites.
• Collect, record, and manage data related to behavior and progress.
• Assist with assessments of preferences, skills, and behaviors.
• Follow BCBA guidance to ensure ABA best practices.
• Participate in supervision and competency assessments.
• Monitor and redirect behaviors using approved techniques; assist in crisis responses.
• Maintain certifications and complete required trainings.
• Provide on-the-job coaching and onboarding for new staff.
• Support timekeeping, attendance, and program coverage.
• Perform duties as substitute when needed; support safety and confidentiality.
