Summary of Busser Position:The Busser supports wait staff and bartenders to ensure smooth and efficient service. While not the front line of service, strong attention to detail and attentiveness are essential to delight our guests.Licensing Requirements:Valid Food Handlers CertificationDuties & Responsibilities:Obtain service area assignment at the beginning of each shiftClear tables after guestsTake soiled tableware to dish room and unload, sort and stack silverware, dishes, glassware, etc. in designated areas in the soiled dish drop off areaBetween seating’s promptly clean tabletops, chairs and booths.Respond promptly and appropriately to guest requests, communicating them to the server as neededAssist server as needed with food delivery, especially with large parties and during peak periodsMust maintain a clean and organized service areaThank guests as they are leavingBe available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or directorKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Basic knowledge of restaurant service procedures and table setupUnderstanding of cleanliness and sanitation standardsStrong customer service and hospitality skillsAbility to multitask and efficiently in a fast paced environmentTeam-oriented with a willingness to assist coworkers as neededAbility to clear, clean, and reset tables efficientlyAbility to carry trays, dishes, and supplies safelyQualifications:Must be 17 years of age or olderRestaurant experience in hospitality environment preferred, but not requiredAble to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team membersMust be authorized to work in the U.S.Work Environment / Physical Demands:Expected to keep work location a safe and healthy work environment. Utilize basic safety measures to keep the work environment safe. Report any safety concerns to your supervisor.
