Overview

The College of Engineering seeks a conscientious and energetic student to serve as a Career & STEM Outreach Assistant, reporting to the Director of Professional Development with other duties and responsibilities to support the College at large. This role is an incredible opportunity to learn about professionalism, meet a variety of employers and explore how to become a leader in higher education Career Development & Employer Relations.

Responsibilities
  • Career/opportunities research using the internet, Handshake, LinkedIn and interactions with employers/industry/alumni;
  • Drafting strategic communications via regular career newsletters, social media and professional correspondence;
  • Administrative tasks, event-planning, meticulous note-taking and warm hospitality support for employer, admissions, alumni and professional development events.
Qualifications / Ideal candidate

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, effective oral and written communication and be motivated to help other students explore and pursue diverse professional and educational opportunities.

Details

This position is estimated to work 16 hours per week, and may be Federal Work Study eligible.
