Job Description

Looking for a team player with a strong attention to detail and a passion for hands-on work in a fast-paced lab environment. This role includes routine testing, sample handling, and ensuring quality standards are met.   • Perform analytical testing on raw materials, including pH, conductivity, nitrate identification, total organic carbon (TOC), and appearance assessments.
  • Receive, handle, label, and dispose of samples in accordance with established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Calibrate or verify the calibration status of laboratory instruments and devices prior to use.
  • Accurately document test results and promptly report any deviations or quality concerns.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory and ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to internal and external clients by ensuring timely and accurate testing.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development activities to maintain technical proficiency.
  • Adhere to all applicable regulatory and company policies, including GMP, GLP, and safety standards.

This Position Is An Indoor Lab-based Position, Working In Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing Cleanrooms And Lab Spaces. Position Requires Significant Time Spent In ISO 8 Cleanrooms With The Following Restrictions

  • No cosmetic products or applications (such as makeup, false lashes, spray tans, tinted moisturizer, etc) are permitted and must be removed before entry
  • Nails must be kept short, trimmed, and unadorned (no nail polish, rhinestones, etc)
  • No jewelry may be worn (exceptions are medical alert-related and one smooth ring band that can be easily covered by a glove)
  • Hair must be able to be neatly tied back and contained in a hairnet, and all facial hair must be neatly trimmed and able to be secured in a beard cover.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or other science-related degree concentration
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

  • Is self-motivated, adaptable, team-oriented, andhas apositive attitude
  • Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Desire to work in a moderately physical role that requires standing much of the time
  • Strong computer and organizational skills
  • Fosters a healthy, trusting environment and champions transparency and communication
  • GMP, biopharmaceutical, or other related industry experience
  • Familiarity with LIMS


Additional Information

What to Expect in the Hiring Process:

  • 10-15 Minute Phone Interview with Region Recruiter
  • 45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or Group Leader
  • 30 Minute Virtual Meeting with Site Director


Additional Details

The work schedule will be Wednesday through Saturday, 7 am-5:30 pm, with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York, are encouraged to apply.
