Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. seeks a Procurement Agent to join the Raw Material Commodity Purchasing Team. The role stabilizes a supply chain for metallic and non-metallic materials, coordinating with customers and suppliers to ensure timely, high-quality parts.

Key duties include managing supplier contracts and POs, RFQ development, supplier response analysis, and inventory/supplier performance monitoring to optimize the overall supply chain. Union-represented position with competitive benefits.

Overview

This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit’s Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing’s three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.

Spirit AeroSystems’ Raw Material Commodity Purchasing Team is responsible for the procurement of both metallic and non-metallic materials. The company has contracts and agreementsin place with top-tier suppliers across the globe. Procurement Agents have responsibility for various pieces of the purchased component life cycle including requirementidentification, sourcing, order placement and receipt/delivery. Responsibilities

Position Responsibilities:

Responsible for synchronization of a supply chain to procure metallic and/or non-metallic raw materials and services for the company. Interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure quality parts are delivered to the right place at the right time.

Performs part or all the following:

• Act as an authorized agent of the company with responsibility for managing supplier-related activities and commit company resources through contracts, agreements, and purchase orders.
• Develops requests for quotations, analyzes supplier responses, and manages post award supplier activities.
• Interfaces with internal and external customers and suppliers.
• Manages inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier performance.
• Monitors customer inventory demand and material assets to optimize total supply chain planning. Incorporates planning decisions from customers and suppliers to reduce material and product variability and arrive at optimal solutions.
• Demonstrate the Boeing values and behaviors in all professional interactions.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• 2+ years of experience in a supply chain role, preferably within the aerospace or manufacturing industry
• Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Project management and strong data analysis skills
• Dynamic change agent with the drive, energy, and adaptability to successfully lead organizational changes
• Relationship-driven professional skilled at cultivating strategic partnerships and leveraging influence to achieve business goals

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Familiarity with MRP systems (SAP experience strongly preferred)
• Knowledge of or experience in manufacturing and manufacturing processes is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience); an MBA is plus

Summary Pay Range - (Level 2): $54,550 - $83,650
