Job summary

Mars Incorporated’s Royal Canin facility in Fremont, NE is seeking a Raw Material Warehouse Operator (Days: 9am-5pm, Mon-Fri with weekend flex) to manage offsite warehouse receives, quality checks and packaging tasks. You will support shipping, sanitation, and inventory controls to ensure safe, efficient operations.

The role requires forklift certification, English communication, and flexibility for varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent education.
• Forklift certified.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of inventory computer systems (WMS).
• Food manufacturing experience and knowledge of food safety.
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform periodic/inventory checks of raw materials.
• Provide routine maintenance checks on equipment.
• Assist in production, sanitation, maintenance and quality activities.
• Perform housekeeping and sanitation procedures.
• Communicate with staff to optimize quality, efficiency, productivity and safety.
• Load trucks, live loads, and staged loads.
• Operate Forklift (Expert Level).
• Direct ship responsibilities including disposition of hold/released product.
• Handle WMS/BOL responsibilities.

Manage and receive ingredients at Royal Canin's offsite warehouse. Perform reception procedures including quality control analytic operations and physical offloading of samples. This may include departmental sanitation and packaging tasks. Flexibility is important for weekend coverage when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Always operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform periodic and routine inventories of raw materials in storage
• Provide and perform routine maintenance checks on equipment
• Assist in other production, sanitation, maintenance, and quality activity in other areas as directed
• Perform housekeeping and sanitation procedures
• Provide functional communication with other staff members as necessary to optimize quality, efficiency, productivity and safety
• Loading trucks, live loads and staged loads
• Ability to operate Forklift - (Expert Level)
• Direct ship responsibility including proper disposition of hold product, food safety hold product and released product
• WMS, BOL responsibility / accountability
• Support Warehouse Area Lead with all activities associated with shipping department

• Standing on a concrete floor
• Sitting, getting up and down off of a forklift often
• Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform)
• Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 55lbs
• Must be able to adapt to temperature and environmental extremes such as hot to cold, dust dirt and chemicals
• Vision correctable to 20/20

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Have a High school diploma, GED or equivalent education
• Must be willing and able to work and accept varying shifts and schedules
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate in the English language
