Job summary

Campbell's in Hanover, PA is seeking a Raw Material Receiver for the 1st shift. You will receive, inspect, and test incoming raw materials such as potatoes, corn, flour, and oil, ensuring GMPs and quality standards are met.

You will document results in the IFS system, review driver paperwork, monitor unloading, and support QA and operations. This role requires safety focus, attention to detail, and willingness to work overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize personal and workplace safety by adhering to all safety procedures, identifying potential hazards, and helping maintain a safe work environment.
  • Receive, inspect, test, and accept deliveries of potatoes, corn, flour, and oil.
  • Enter and verify raw material receiving information in the IFS computer system.
  • Review driver paperwork for accuracy and completeness and track weight tickets.
  • Inspect incoming trailers for signs of foreign material, including glass, metal, plastic, rocks, or other contaminants.
  • Collect and test representative samples from potato and corn deliveries.
  • Analyze potatoes for temperature, rot, biological breakdown, visible greening, and size specifications.
  • Accurately document test results on receiving and quality forms.
  • Determine whether incoming materials meet specifications and elevate out-of-specification findings for resolution.
  • Monitor unloading activities and continually inspect for foreign material throughout the unloading process.
  • Weigh and document waste generated during unloads and prepare receiving areas for subsequent deliveries.
  • Maintain receiving and waste handling areas according to GMPs, sanitation standards, and housekeeping expectations.
  • Support wastewater and waste removal operations as needed.
  • Follow all applicable SOPs, food safety requirements, and quality procedures.
  • Cross-train in the QA Technician role and perform QA-related duties when needed.
  • Perform additional duties and support plant operations as assigned.
  • Work mandatory overtime when required.

Raw Material Receiver

Location: Hanover, PA

Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday - Friday

Starting Pay: $22.50/hour

HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…

As a Raw Material Receiver, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, safety, and efficiency of our manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming raw materials, conducting quality testing, maintaining sanitation standards, and supporting production through accurate documentation and collaboration with Quality Assurance teams. Your work helps ensure that only high-quality ingredients enter our production process.

WHAT YOU WILL DO…

    • Up to 10 lbs. frequently
    • Up to 25 lbs. frequently
    • Up to 50 lbs. occasionally
    • Up to 100 lbs. with assistance only
  • Ability, where applicable, to enter trailers and walk on uneven surfaces to gather samples.
  • Willingness to work in a loud manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment, wet conditions, and varying environmental conditions.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One year of production or manufacturing experience.
  • Previous experience in food manufacturing, quality inspection, material receiving, or warehouse operations.
  • Experience working with computerized inventory or receiving systems.
  • Familiarity with GMPs, food safety practices, and quality assurance procedures.
Work Environment

This position regularly works around moving mechanical equipment and is frequently exposed to wet and humid conditions. Occasional exposure to elevated work areas, airborne particles, fumes, and cleaning chemicals may occur. The work environment is typically loud, and appropriate personal protective equipment is required.

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation.
