LG Chem Advance Materials, Inc. (LGCTA) is seeking a Raw Material/MRO Procurement Specialist for its team in Clarksville, TN. The position is an individual contributor role responsible for sourcing vendors and expediting the procurement of Raw materials or MRO products. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, over 3 years of procurement experience, and proficiency in negotiation and data analysis.

This full-time position requires excellent communication skills and a background in chemical industry procurement is preferred.

Job Summary

LG Chem Advance Materials, Inc. (LGCTA) is actively searching for a Raw material / MRO Procurement Specialist to join our team in Clarksville, TN. The role is an individual contributor reporting to the Procurement team and is responsible for assisting, sourcing new vendors and expediting to acquire Raw material or MRO product.

This position is based full time in Clarksville, TN and is not a remote role.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Administrative:
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements.
  • Request for Quotation (RFQ).
  • Support Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE).
  • Create Commercial Bid Evaluation (CBE) with detailed price analysis.
  • Renew contracts when a Change Order occurs.
  • Control shipping documents (BL/IV/PL) from partners and manage payment for partners.
  • Source quality suppliers and complete bidding process from a total cost of ownership perspective.
  • Drive supplier capability enhancement through strategic support and development programs.
  • Track supplier production schedule aligned with facility requirements, and realign or expedite as needed.
  • Procure MRO material and maintain stock, managing receipt, shipment, and settlement.
  • Report sourcing and procurement status to management and stakeholders.
• Negotiation Skills:
  • Develop and negotiate vendor contracts to ensure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Resolve discrepancies and invoice problems.
  • Persistently address supply chain challenges.
• Quality Focus:
  • Research and identify prospective new equipment suppliers.
  • Liaise with internal project teams and maintain strong supplier relations.
  • Evaluate products and suppliers according to key business criteria.
  • Ensure all contracts meet standards.
  • Manage large data sets with consistency and integrity.
• Data Analysis:
  • Prepare reports and maintain accurate inventory and procurement records.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues.

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in Raw material procurement, with proficiency in international trade regulations and handling of chemical substance imports and exports.
• 3+ years of experience leveraging strong negotiating and influencing skills with Raw/MRO material.
• Experience in Battery, Battery Materials or Chemical Industry is a plus.
• Working knowledge of an ERP system; SAP experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and presentation.
• Proficiency in PC and Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.).
• Excellent analytical ability to analyze production data.
• Experience working with a global company.
