We have a great opportunity for an RTE Provisioner/Raw Material Handler on 1st shift. Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 5:30am-430pm. Overtime on Fridays, when needed. Hourly pay is $20.55

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

Responsible for supplying the production line in a timely manner with the correct raw materials needed to produce sandwiches according to recipe. Effectively communicate with the prep room employees regarding the proper amount of materials needed for the run in order to minimize waste.

1. FOOD SAFETY AND QUALITY
  1. Execute assigned food safety, quality and continuous improvement activities to support SQF requirements, regulatory requirements and customer’s requirements.
  2. Follow Policies and Procedures of E.A. Sween Co. including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  3. Inspect product and promptly report any questionable product to Quality Control or Production Supervisor or Lead before transporting it to production line.
2. LEADERSHIP
  1. Support the Spirit, Purpose and Vision of E. A. Sween Company.
  2. Assist in providing a friendly positive work environment.
3. COST (CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT)
  1. Contribute to process improvements; participate in any lean events.
4. PRODUCTION
  1. All products are to be produced to recipe specification, using standard work as a guideline on how to perform each position on the line.
  2. Work with Line Controller to set up lines before shift, during breaks and as otherwise noted.
  3. Before each production run, the Provisioner relies on the Line Controller to provide information in regards to the raw materials needed and relies on the Carry Over Specialist or the Line Controller for verification sign off.
  4. Properly load/unload raw material in designated slicer, making sure to wear PPE at all times.
  5. Must make sure that all meat and cheese is to spec. For example, if you notice the cheese/meat is too thin or too heavy, must make the adjustment to the correct recipe weight.
  6. Properly operate the globe slicer by cutting the butt ends off each log of meat and cheese. Once the meat is sliced, using the scale and the recipe weigh out the amount needed for each sandwich.
  7. Ensure adequate quantities of products are delivered to the line in a timely manner and they meet recipe specifications.
REQUIREMENTS
  1. Require High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  2. Require previous assembly work and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices
  3. Must be meeting or exceeding standards in current production position for a minimum of 6 months (for internal applicants)
  4. Must be able to effectively communicate in English
  5. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. moderately
  6. Schedule is Monday Through Friday
  7. Production may demand occasional overtime on Saturdays based on the needs of the company
  8. Previous food related experience preferred
  9. All hires will need to successfully pass a drug screen and background check
  10. Must be at least 18 years old
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
  1. Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push, pull meat carts weighing 300 lbs. frequently
  2. Must be able to work in cool conditions, 35-40 degrees majority of day
  3. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. moderately
  4. Must be able to reach over head moderately
  5. Must be able to be on feet majority of the day
  6. Must be able to move about safely and keep up with manufacturing speeds
