What We’re Seeking
Responsible for supplying the production line in a timely manner with the correct raw materials needed to produce sandwiches according to recipe. Effectively communicate with the prep room team regarding the proper amount of materials needed for the run to minimize waste.
Responsibilities
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure food safety and integrity.
- Follow safety protocols and use designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor or Lead.
- Collaborate, communicate, and learn from colleagues with diverse backgrounds, cultures, abilities, languages, or perspectives.
Leadership
- Support the Spirit, Purpose, and Vision of EA Sween Company.
- Help create a friendly, positive work environment.
Cost (Continuous Improvement)
- Contribute to process improvements and participate in lean events.
Production
- Produce all products according to recipe specifications, using standard work as a guideline.
- Work with Line Controller to set up lines before shifts and during breaks.
- Verify raw materials needed for each run with the Line Controller and Carry Over Specialist.
- Load/unload raw materials properly, wearing PPE at all times.
- Ensure meat and cheese meet specifications; adjust if necessary.
- Operate slicing equipment properly.
- Execute food safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities to support SQF, regulatory, and customer requirements.
- Inspect products and report any issues promptly.
Equipment & PPE
- Trays, Buckets/Bins, Scissors & Ruler, Carts
- Globe slicers, Double Toby, Titan & Weber slicers
- Depositors, miscellaneous slicing equipment
- Stainless steel mesh gloves, cut-resistant gloves
- Ear plugs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous assembly work and GMP knowledge
- Meeting or exceeding standards in current position for at least 3 months (internal applicants)
- Effective English communication skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs continuously
- Teamwork mindset and good attendance
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area
- Stand for 10-12.5 hours in cool/cold temperatures based on schedule
Preferred
- Previous food-related experience
Physical Demands/Work Environment
- Bend, turn, push, pull meat carts weighing 300 lbs frequently
- Work in cool conditions (35-40°F)
- Lift 50 lbs occasionally
- Reach overhead occasionally
- Stand continuously and move safely to keep up with manufacturing speeds
