Corning invites students pursuing materials or ceramic engineering to join the Raw Material Engineering Intern team for Summer 2027 in Painted Post, NY. Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2027 (May-August 2027) with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and analyze technical data related to raw materials.
• Assist engineers with material qualification studies and experimental plans.
• Support preparation of technical presentations, reports, and recommendations.
• Document findings and communicate project progress to stakeholders.
• Apply engineering and analytical tools to solve manufacturing and supply chain challenges.
• Work safely and comply with all applicable environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with team members across multiple functions and locations.
