Job summary

Corning Incorporated in the United States is seeking a Raw Material Engineering Intern to support the Environmental Technologies Raw Material Engineering team, gaining hands-on exposure to material qualification, supply assurance, and cost reduction.

You will work on projects to improve raw material performance, strengthen supply chain resilience, assist supplier qualification, and identify opportunities while maintaining product quality and manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication.
• Able to work independently while collaborating in a team.
• Available for 10 weeks during Summer 2027 with a graduation date of December 2026 or later.

Responsibilities

• Collect, organize, and analyze technical data related to raw materials.
• Assist engineers with material qualification studies and experimental plans.
• Support preparation of technical presentations, reports, and recommendations.
• Document findings and communicate project progress to stakeholders.
• Apply engineering and analytical tools to solve manufacturing and supply chain challenges.
• Work safely and comply with environmental, health, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate effectively with team members across multiple functions and locations.
