Job summary

CW Resources, Inc. at Fort Drum is seeking a Receiving and Stock Clerk to support our dining facility. You’ll be the backbone of our supply chain, ensuring kitchen staff always have what they need to serve great meals.

Responsibilities include recording food inventory, receiving deliveries, rotating perishable items with FIFO, and coordinating with vendors and internal teams. We offer training, benefits, and opportunities to grow within a mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in inventory control, food service operations, or supply coordination.
  • Experience in food service, dining facility, warehouse, stockroom, or similar environment.

  • Work closely with vendors, kitchen staff, and internal teams to coordinate supply needs.
  • Provide friendly, responsive service—answering questions and resolving issues with professionalism.
  • Stock shelves, rotate merchandise, and create neat, appealing displays.

Are you organized, dependable, and ready to play a key role in keeping our food service operations running smoothly? We’re looking for a Receiving and Stock Clerk to join our team at the Fort Drum dining facility. In this position, you’ll be the backbone of our supply chain—making sure our kitchen staff always have what they need to serve great meals.

What You’ll Need to be Successful:

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in inventory control, food service operations, or supply coordination.
  • Experience working in a food service, dining facility, warehouse, stockroom, or similar environment.
  • Valid Real ID.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain government base access.

Bonus If You Have These Skills:

  • Experience interacting with vendors, kitchen staff, or internal teams in a service‑oriented setting.
  • Basic understanding of food safety best practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and respond quickly to supply needs.

Physical & Environmental Demands:

  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods, typically 8–10 hours per shift, often on hard surfaces.
  • Regularly lifts, moves, and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds; heavier lifting may be required with team assistance.
  • Frequently uses hands, wrists, and arms for repetitive tasks such as sorting, stocking, and operating equipment.
  • Requires bending, stooping, and reaching overhead to access storage areas and maintain inventory.
  • Must have manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling supplies, operating controls, and performing basic food prep.
  • Works in environments with varying temperatures, including hot kitchen areas and cold storage units such as walk-in refrigerators and freezers.
  • Exposed to moderate to high noise levels from kitchen equipment, ventilation systems, and team communication.
  • Frequently encounters strong food odors, cleaning chemicals, and steam; sensory tolerance is necessary.
  • Must remain alert in areas with wet or slippery floors and wear appropriate slip-resistant footwear.
  • Requires visual and auditory acuity to read labels, follow instructions, and communicate effectively in a busy setting.
