Job summary

S&P Global Ratings invites undergraduates in their penultimate year to join as interns in the United States. You will learn ratings criteria and help prepare materials for rating committees and issuer meetings, collaborating with analysts and project teams to complete mock ratings and present findings.

You will provide quarterly financial statistics, conduct data analysis, and assist with reporting, research, and modelling.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate students in their penultimate year of study only. All majors welcome. Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Financial Engineering, Math, Public Policy, Quantitative Analysis, Data and Statistics majors preferred
• You must reside in the location of the internship throughout its entire duration.
• You must have the right to work in the country of proposed employment.
• Adept with Excel and other Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Able to learn quickly, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem-solving, time-management, attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• The ability and the desire to learn to conduct your own analysis and research, showing initiative and resourcefulness.
• Fluent command of English Language is essential, as is being fluent in the primary language of the country of application.
• Strong verbal & written communication skill

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand ratings criteria and methodology
• Assist with preparing required documents for rating committee and issuer management meetings
• Work with assigned summer intern project teams to successfully complete and present during mock ratings committee
• Provide timely and accurate quarterly financial statistics and data analysis
• Assist in reporting, research, presentations and modelling
• Utilize AI technologies to analyze large datasets and derive actionable insights, integrating them into existing analytical frameworks.
• Support the team on improvement in execution and ad-hoc writing projects.
