Job summary

AeroBarrier is seeking a Rating Field Inspector in Albuquerque, NM to assist in home energy ratings and compliance. The position requires physical capabilities and offers work-from-home flexibility when not in the field.

Rating Field Inspector

SUMMARY:

Aeroseal is looking for a Rating Field Inspector that will assist us in our mission by working directly under a certified HERS rater (home energy rater) to perform inspections and testing for homes and apartments as part of Energy Ratings, and Energy Code compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• No experience necessary, however some construction trade experience preferred
• Must have ability to carry heavy equipment (~50lbs), climb ladders and perform other physically demanding aspects of Home Energy Rating
• Must have reliable transportation that can carry testing equipment, ladder.
• Must have ability to work from home when not in the field, as Aeroseal LLC in Albuquerque is a work from home company.
• Has good organization and communication skill
• Must have ability to learn to use testing equipment to perform residential air leakage and duct leakage testing
• Has basic computer skills (Office, email, Pdfs, digital images)
• Must complete RESNET RFI training within 2 months of hiring

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform Home Performance Testing (blower doors, duct leakage, fan flow, room pressure differential) for Ratings, Code Compliance and/or Certification Program requirements
• Perform Onsite Verifications of Thermal bypass/air leakage compliance and Insulation grading
• Perform Onsite Verifications of Thermal bypass compliance and Insulation grading
• Generate Site Inspection reports using Company Cam app

The estimated pay range for this role is $40,000 to $45,000. Actual pay is based on various factors including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s experience, skills, knowledge, and job location. Please note that the compensation details listed in role postings reflect the base salary and do not include bonuses or benefits.
