Ideal candidates have CAD/CAM experience, GD&T knowledge, and proven leadership of precision machining programs under strict quality controls, with occasional travel to development sites in Durham and Benson.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in manufacturing or engineering.
• Hands-on experience operating precision machining or grinding operations.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software and G-code.
• Knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and dimensional metrology.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of machinists and operators to meet quality, throughput, and scheduling goals.
• Oversee machining processes including wire EDM, grinders, mills, lathes, and EDM.
• Develop and document processing parameters and SOPs for hard, brittle materials.
• Perform first article inspections and ensure safety and housekeeping on the floor.
• Coordinate with engineers and technicians to plan production and development runs.
