Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking an Operations Engineer for the Raptor program to design and optimize factory layouts, lead production line improvements, and support rapid project delivery on the floor.

You will work with cross-functional teams, perform process walkthroughs, and develop tools to analyze delivery, capacity, and cost. This hands-on role requires standing and occasional travel, with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• Experience in manufacturing environment or internship is preferred.
• Ability to work across teams to implement process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Design and own factory and production area layouts with clear visual indicators and flow.
• Conduct vendor walks, negotiate prices, and manage schedules.
• Lead process walks, simplify steps, and kick off changes.
• Execute complex projects with efficient time and cost use.
• Develop tools to analyze delivery, capacity, and costs for decisions.
