Job summary

Burlington Industries is seeking a weaving machine operator to monitor and maintain looms, ensuring quality and efficient production at our facility in North Carolina. You will perform routine adjustments, observe safety protocols, and report malfunctions to the weaving technician.

This role involves direct loom supervision, adherence to production standards, and participation in ongoing equipment checks and basic maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receives assignment layout and instructions at beginning of shift.
• Receives information from previous shift weaver about general condition of set.
• Repairs all yarn stops and certain mechanical related stops.
• Records and flags any mechanical malfunction for weaving machines.
• Patrols looms inspecting for quality and to locate possible machine malfunctions; performs minor preventative maintenance as needed.
• Checks filling changes for correct filling lots and yarn description from label.
• Posts required information on warp out and smash boards; enters data into watchdog loom monitoring.
• Observe all safety precautions in performance of job.

Patrols weaving machines, inspects woven cloth, repair warp, filling and certain mechanical stops, reports mechanical malfunctions to weave machine technician.

WORKING PROCEDURES
