Job summary

Hyper Solutions in Richmond, VA is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist, Service & Warranty to source, purchase, expeditie, and coordinate materials for field service, warranty, and repair operations. This role is the primary point of contact for service-material requirements, focusing on minimizing downtime and accelerating turnaround.

The ideal candidate brings urgency, strong supplier-management skills, and the ability to solve supply challenges quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of purchasing, procurement, supply chain or expediting experience.
• Experience managing urgent material requirements and supplier expedites.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP and inventory-management systems.
• Strong Excel skills (filters, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
• Ability to work with domestic and international suppliers across time zones.

Responsibilities

• Procure replacement components, repair materials and supplies for field service and warranty operations.
• Convert approved service requirements into purchase orders and track them.
• Expedite critical materials to minimize downtime and accelerate repair turnaround.
• Identify alternate suppliers and negotiate terms to balance service urgency and cost.
• Maintain visibility of open orders, delivery dates and supplier acknowledgments.
• Coordinate with engineering, quality, and service teams on part substitutions when needed.
• Provide updates on material status, risks and recovery actions.
