Job summary

UNM Hospital is seeking a Rapid Response Team clinician to provide direct patient care across age groups under the Medical Director's guidelines. The role requires active EMT-Paramedic credentials, ACLS/PALS, and strong emergency response experience.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize patients and support transport, while adhering to safety policies. The position offers full-time hours with a 0.90 FTE, weekday days, and differential compensation for evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School or GED Equivalent required.
• EMT Paramedic license and CPR/ACLS/PALS credentials required.
• Experience in emergency response and patient care within hospital settings valued.
• Ability to operate under UNMH Rapid Response guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care from basic to advanced life support as directed.
• Triage and stabilize patients, document care, and prepare for transport.
• Administer medications via multiple routes, monitor responses, and adjust care as needed.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and manage equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with multiple hospital teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Assist in orienting new staff and participate in education sessions.
