Airframe/Engine Technician - RRT
The Airframe/Engine Technician - RRT travels to the customer's location to perform on-wing inspection, troubleshooting, and repairs to engines and APUs on various corporate jets across the United States and internationally. This position interacts with customers and collaborates with Duncan team members to provide exceptional customer service and rapid response 24/7.
Duncan Aviation's Rapid Response Team positions support our AOG/RRT Network and typically operate out of one of our Fixed Base Locations or remotely, based on needs. These positions are not entry-level, as work is performed independently with minimal oversight. Brand new A&P mechanics are encouraged to apply for an Airframe or Powerplant position at one of our 3 MRO locations to gain experience working on corporate aircraft before applying for the RRT.

Essential Job Functions:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, function test, remove, reinstall, and return engines and APUs to service using proper tooling and test equipment, following manufacturer specifications, FAA regulations, and Duncan procedures. Perform as an RII Inspector.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of engine and project work, review reports for accuracy, and ensure proper inventory allocation and billing prior to invoicing.
- Develop and maintain customer relationships, communicate with sales and marketing teams, and seek engine service opportunities to meet financial goals. Respond to customer requests and issues regarding engine and APU services.
- Manage all aspects of assigned engine projects, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency from planning to delivery. Coordinate with customers, personnel, OEMs, contractors, and vendors.
- Maintain parts inventory, ensure tooling calibration, and support vehicle cleanliness and readiness.
- Be available to provide ongoing service and serve as a contact point for internal and external customers outside scheduled hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- FAA-licensed A&P in good standing
- Minimum of four years of corporate aviation maintenance focusing on engine/airframe
- Previous lead technician or AOG maintenance experience with a corporate flight department, business jet service provider, MRO, or OEM
Job Specific Requirements:
- Licenses/Certificates: A&P certificate required; RII designation eligible. Valid driver’s license with acceptable record.
- Tools/Equipment: Technicians must have their own basic tools; Duncan provides specific tool lists.
- Attendance: Regular attendance required; overnight and short-notice travel expected.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. routinely, up to 100 lbs. occasionally; tolerate working with moving parts, fumes, confined spaces, heights, and various physical activities.
- Environmental: Tolerance for working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments.
