Job description

What is Kalshi?

Kalshi has defined a new category: prediction markets. Kalshi allows people to trade on the outcome of any events and turn any question about the future into a financial asset. Kalshi fought for years and legalized prediction markets in the US for the first time in history, is currently the fastest growing financial market in America, and has thousands of markets across politics, economics, financials, weather, tech, AI, culture and more.

We believe prediction markets have the potential to be the largest financial market because they turn anything into a financial position.

  • Our vision: well… build the largest financial market on the planet.

  • Our mission: bring more truth to the world through the power of markets.

Our culture is simple: we hire really talented people, work really hard, and enjoy the climb. We are looking for ambitious and exceptional people to join our (relatively small) team to help us build the next generation of financial markets.

Role Roadmap

Kalshi sits at the intersection of news, markets, politics, sports, culture, and public debate. The conversation moves quickly, and how we show up in those moments matters.

We’re looking for a highly hands‑on Rapid Response comms pro to own how Kalshi engages with fast‑moving news, narratives, and public conversations. You’ll monitor the news cycle and online discourse, identify moments where Kalshi should engage, and turn complex topics into clear, compelling narratives that help people understand Kalshi and prediction markets.

This is an execution‑heavy role. You won't just develop the strategy—you'll write the response, coordinate the right people, publish the message, and move quickly when the moment demands it.

What You’ll Do
  • Own Kalshi’s rapid‑response operation across news, social media, and public discourse

  • Monitor breaking news, media coverage, social conversations, and emerging narratives relevant to Kalshi and prediction markets

  • Identify when Kalshi should enter a conversation and determine the right message, channel, and approach

  • Develop clear, compelling narratives around Kalshi, prediction markets, and key industry issues

  • Translate complex financial, regulatory, and industry topics into simple, accessible messaging

  • Draft and execute rapid‑response content across Kalshi’s social channels

  • Work with creators, commentators, partners, and other external voices to communicate key messages

  • Partner closely with Communications, Social, Brand, Legal, and leadership on high‑priority moments

  • Anticipate emerging narratives and prepare messaging before they become major conversations

  • Track how narratives develop and adapt Kalshi’s response in real time

What You Bring
  • Experience in rapid response, communications, public affairs, media, politics, or another role operating around fast‑moving news cycles

  • Exceptional writing skills and strong narrative instincts

  • Deep understanding of social media, news cycles, online discourse, and how narratives spread

  • Excellent judgment around when to engage, when not to engage, and how to communicate in high‑pressure situations

  • Ability to quickly understand complicated topics and explain them simply

  • Highly hands‑on and comfortable personally writing, posting, coordinating, and executing

  • Ability to move extremely quickly without sacrificing accuracy or judgment

  • Strong understanding of how different audiences, creators, journalists, and online communities consume information

  • Comfortable operating independently with limited direction

  • Strong interest in news, politics, markets, culture, and the conversations shaping the world

Bonus
  • Experience in political campaigns, government, public affairs, journalism, or high‑intensity communications environments

  • Experience managing rapid response for a high‑profile company, executive, campaign, or organization

  • Existing relationships with creators, commentators, journalists, or other influential voices

  • Experience communicating around controversial or highly scrutinized topics

  • Experience working in financial services, fintech, technology, media, or another regulated industry

  • Deep familiarity with prediction markets and the broader debate surrounding them

  • Experience building monitoring systems or processes for identifying emerging narratives early
