The Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) is the historic heart of Harvard University. The Rapid Response Administrative Coordinator is responsible for processing transactional requests in Harvard administrative/financial systems from the FAS community. This role will also provide temporary project support such as analyzing data, making recommendations about administrative processes, and reporting findings to project and team leads. This is a 6-month term position reporting to the Manager of Training and Education in Administrative Operations.
Hybrid office environment: this position will be based in Cambridge, MA and there is an expectation of some workdays per week on campus to meet client department needs. Individual flexible and remote work options for this role will be discussed during the interview process.
Sitting and using near vision for reading and computer work for extended periods of time.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
This position has been determined by school or unit leaders that some of the duties and responsibilities can be effectively performed at a non-Harvard location. The work schedule and location will be set by the department at its discretion and based upon operational needs. When not working at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location, employees in hybrid positions must work in a Harvard registered state in compliance with the University’s Policy on Employment Outside of Massachusetts. Additional details will be discussed during the interview process. Certain visa types and funding sources may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
