Job summary

Sun Outdoors is seeking a Part-Time RV Ranger to assist guests with site setup, escort arrivals, and monitor pools for unregistered visitors. The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and proactive communication with the RV Resort Manager.

Responsibilities include leading arriving RVs, checking sites, reporting maintenance, inspecting units, delivering mail, and assisting guests and residents throughout the resort. Requires a high school diploma and valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Basic computer proficiency including email and internet use.
• Flexibility to work events during non-business hours.
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Strong organizational skills.
• General knowledge of janitorial work, plumbing, and grounds maintenance.
• Ability to provide legible written reports.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report maintenance issues to the RV Resort Manager.
• Inspect units for cleanliness and damage prior to sale.
• Oversee sales of accessories when applicable.
• Deliver packages and mail to appropriate sites as needed.
• Routinely check pools for unregistered guests and escort as required.
• Patrol the resort and assist guests to ensure accessibility.

Job description

RV Rangers assist with all site set-ups for arriving and departing guests. They are responsible for escorting arrivals to their site after normal business hours, communicating all issues and concerns to the RV Resort Manager, and monitoring the pool(s) for unregistered guests. Rangers provide excellent customer service to prospective and current guests and residents in the resort at all times.

Job Duties

• Leads RVs to sites, ensuring to locate them properly within the individual site areas. Assists guests with site set-up as needed (Essential)
• Checks transient sites daily for departures. Removes trash from recently vacated transient sites (Essential)
• Checks all sites for issues or problems (i.e. water, sewer, hornets, etc.). Reports all maintenance issues and concerns to RV Resort Manager and/or maintenance (Essential)
• Inspects tied down RVs, park models, and manufactured homes for cleanliness, rust, damage and other problems prior to permitting their sale
• Completes various surveys of tied down units as required by main office
• Oversees the sales of sewer donuts and electrical adapters, if applicable
• Completes site measurements as requested
• Delivers special packages and/or one-day mail to appropriate sites
• Assists with coverage of the main gate when needed
• Routinely checks swimming pool(s) for unregistered guests, if applicable
• Tags vehicles for removal by owner at unrented transient sites
• Follows safety procedures while performing duties
• Other duties as assigned
• Handles guest and resident questions and complaints directly or refers them to the appropriate department
• Provides guests with accessibility by patrolling the resort frequently and assisting them when needed
• Treats sites, both manufactured home and RV, for fire ant infestation as requested and as a normal procedure when spotting units on-site
• Driving is an essential function of the role and a business necessity as the Ranger must independently complete various tasks such as patrolling the resort frequently to provide guest accessibility, leading arriving RVs and escorting guests to their designated sites, delivering packages and mail across different property locations, and travel within the property and to nearby locations as needed.
