Job summary

The Range in McKinney LLC is seeking a Weekend Range Safety Officer. Must be 21 or older and possess RSO experience. You will greet members, provide safety briefings, assist with rental firearms, and help customers choose firearms while supporting events and daily operations.

Join our indoor 18-lane range with retail, simulator, and event space. You will perform opening/closing tasks, handle safety procedures, and maintain a safe range environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Experience as Range Safety Officer (RSO) required.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties of Range Safety Officer.
• Provide members with information on range equipment and safety briefings.
• Greet members and assist with rental firearms and selecting firearms.
• Work shooting events and maintain range safety.
• Sell memberships, ammunition, merchandise and other items.
• Maintain a clean and safe range and comply with 4473 and NICS checks.

The Range in McKinney is a locally owned indoor shooting range. We are seeking a Range Safety Officer to work weekends. If you have excellent people skills and enjoy working in a retail environment, we want to hear from you. You must be able to work a flexible schedule (weekends, and maybe weekdays and holidays) and have reliable transportation. Candidate will have exceptional customer service skills, be able to multi-task, work without direction and work as a team member with staff members.

Job Description:

We are an 18-lane indoor range with class/meeting rooms, virtual simulator, retail and event area.

Our retail staff will:

• Perform duties of Range Safety Officer

• Provide members and guests with information on the range equipment and perform safety briefings to help maintain a safe range.

• Greet members and guests

• Assist with rental firearms

• Assist members/guests in choosing a new firearm

• Work shooting events

• Maintain compliance with 4473 and NICS Background check process (training provided)

• Sell ammunition, memberships, merchandise and other items

• Maintain a clean and safe range

• Be able to lift 50lbs. and stand for long periods of time

• Perform opening and closing tasks

• Additional duties as needed but always within reason

All staff will be subject to a background check. If you cannot purchase a firearm legally in the US you should not apply. Drug test and lead level test will also be performed.

What are we looking for?

An individual willing to learn about and enjoy working around the sport of shooting. We want people who are hardworking, honest and are friendly to members and guests but also to your fellow associates. And you also must be able to say “no” when needed. Must have experience with firearms.

We are not a woke business and your personal pronouns are a waste of our time. We don't need any "drama llamas" or anyone who wants to cause problems within the weekend team.
