Retail Counter Associate

The Range in McKinney is a family‑owned indoor shooting range. We are seeking a Retail Counter Associate (21+ years old) who has excellent people and customer service skills and enjoys working in a retail environment. The position is part‑time (Wednesday – Sunday) with an hourly pay range of $10 – $16.

• Greet members and guests
• Perform sales transactions using a computerized point‑of‑sale system
• Assign shooting lanes and coordinate range traffic
• Assist with firearm rental(s)
• Help members/guests select new or rental firearms (once trained)
• Process 4473 and NICS background checks (once trained)
• Answer phone calls
• Sell ammunition, memberships, classes, and merchandise
• Communicate safety requirements to members and guests (once trained)
• Perform opening and closing tasks
• Maintain the retail area and keep inventory in order
• Work events when needed
• Additional duties as needed but within reason
• Say "NO" when necessary

All staff are subject to a background check, drug test, and lead level test. Candidates must be able to legally purchase a firearm in the United States.

Education: High school or equivalent.

Range Safety Officer – Experienced

We are an 18‑lane indoor range with class/meeting rooms, a virtual simulator, retail, and event area. The Range Safety Officer supports both retail and range activities.

• Perform duties of Range Safety Officer
• Provide members and guests with information on range equipment and conduct safety briefings
• Greet members and guests
• Assist with rental firearms and maintain them (regular cleaning)
• Clean ranges at the end of the evening
• Assist members/guests in selecting new firearms
• Host shooting events
• Maintain compliance with 4473 and NICS background check processes
• Sell ammunition, memberships, merchandise, and other items
• Maintain a clean and safe range environment
• Be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Perform opening and closing tasks
• Teach new shooters with one‑on‑one instruction (if able)
• Additional duties as needed but within reason
