Job summary

GRITR Range in Texas is seeking a Range Safety Officer to join our indoor range and training team. The role involves ensuring participant safety, maintaining the range, and assisting customers with firearm questions and sales. Fluency in English is required for safety communication.

Position is full-time with benefits after probation; compensation is $16/hr with varied shift hours. Opportunities for additional income through commission on sales and instruction revenue sharing are available.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years firearms experience.
• Excellent English reading and writing skills for safety communication.
• Ability to squat, sprint, climb and lift weights over 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work varied hours in a retail/range environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of all participants during range activities.
• Maintain the range and perform upkeep.
• Assist customers with firearm related questions and sales.
• Know and apply the 4 Rules of Firearm safety.

Title: Range Safety Officer
Department: Retail Store/Range

Reports to: Range Manager

Candidates must be over 21 years old and fluently speak and understand English, for safety purposes.

GRITR Sports also hosts two IDPA and Hit Factor shooting matches every month. That's a match every week, the most in DFW. We provide numerous avenues for earning extra income through commission based sales opportunities and firearm instruction revenue sharing. Our RSO's and Instructors receive free medical, firearm, andtactics training regularly in order to ensure weprovide the highest value to our customers and clients.

Job Duties:

• Ensure the safety of all participants duringrange activities

Compensation: $16/hr

Shift Schedule: Varied with Range Operating hours

This is a full-time, permanent, non-exempt position, complete with benefits eligibility.
