Job summary

H2ajobs is seeking workers to care for livestock on range and at the ranch. Responsibilities include administering medications, assisting with loading and sorting, and maintaining water, forage, and shelter for animals and dogs.

You will monitor health, assist with births, and keep records while living in isolated areas. The role requires operating tractors and ATVs, working outdoors in all weather, and staying on site for extended periods.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience preferred.
• Ability to work without close supervision.
• Willingness to live and work in isolated ranges for extended periods.
• Capability to ride, handle and tend horses for safety.

Responsibilities

• Attend to livestock on range and at the ranch; administer medications as needed.
• Assist with loading/unloading, sorting, and culling of cattle.
• Maintain water, feed, and shelter for livestock and working animals.
• Monitor health, pregnancy, and birthing, and provide basic care.
• Repair and maintain fences and facilities; operate farm equipment.
• Provide meals and housing arrangements as described by employer.
