An established industry player is seeking a passionate Range Ecologist to enhance grassland habitats for priority bird species. This role involves collaborating with local landowners and agencies to implement innovative conservation practices. You'll be responsible for enrolling landowners in programs, providing technical support, and engaging in community outreach to promote bird-friendly land management. The Range Ecologist will work closely with local landowners to implement working lands conservation programs delivered by Audubon and the Natural Resources Conservation Service. These working lands programs aim to improve private landowners’ ability to implement bird-friendly land management actions. Range Ecologists are responsible for enrolling landowners into these working lands programs and assisting them in the implementation of innovative land management practices.
The Range Ecologist will work under the direction of the Working Lands Program Manager. This position can either be located remotely in eastern North Dakota or based in the Fargo, ND regional office.
Compensation:
$45,000 - $51,000 / year
