Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Ranch Hand Level II to oversee daily care, feeding, handling, and observation of cattle, along with the maintenance of ranch facilities and equipment.

The position reports to the Ranch Foreman and requires practical livestock experience, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely outdoors with limited supervision. Onsite housing is provided as part of a full-time exempt role.

Qualifications

• Requires practical livestock experience.
• Mechanical aptitude for operating farm equipment.
• Demonstrates sound judgment and dependability.
• Physically capable with stamina for outdoor work.
• Ability to work safely with limited supervision in variable outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Feed and water cattle according to schedules and nutrition requirements.
• Monitor cattle for illness, injury, or distress and report concerns.
• Move, sort, weigh, and handle cattle safely.
• Assist with vaccinations, treatments, and calving activities as trained.
• Maintain humane handling, sanitation, biosecurity, and welfare practices.
• Inspect and maintain ranch grounds, buildings, fences, and water systems.
• Repair fences, gates, and livestock containment structures.
• Operate and inspect vehicles and equipment as trained.
• Keep records of feeding, treatments, movements, and supplies.
• Prioritize work based on welfare and safety needs.
• Report issues to Ranch Foreman and assist in emergencies.
