Job summary

H2ajobs Livestock Production position in Montana is seeking a hands-on worker to attend to cattle, monitor calving, vaccinate, and move stock to pastures. You will inspect animals for disease or injury and perform routine maintenance on fences and farm equipment.

Most duties are outdoors, with exposure to heat, cold, dust, rain and wildlife. Housing and meals are provided by the employer, and some transportation to stores or services may be arranged.

Qualifications

• Experience with livestock handling (minimum 3 months).
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme weather and rough terrain.
• Willingness to perform manual tasks and basic repair work.

Responsibilities

• Attend to livestock, monitor calving, and assist with care.
• Move livestock using 4-wheelers and herd into corrals.
• Vaccinate, treat injuries, and apply medications.
• Inspect for diseases and maintain fences and equipment.
• Work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, or weather.
