Job summary

Qualifications

• 3 months experience in livestock handling
• Valid driver’s license required
• Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Attend to livestock and move cattle using 4-wheelers and side by sides to pastures for grazing
• Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; vaccinate livestock and treat wounds
• Herd into corral or stall and restrain for medication
• Perform routine maintenance on farm equipment and repair fence lines
• Maintain bearings to grazing areas and work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, and dust
• Possess ability to crouch, bend, lift and carry up to 100 pounds
• Housing, meals and transportation between housing and work site provided by employer
