This is a hands-on role working directly with cattle and horses in a traditional ranch environment. The right person takes pride in their animals, communicates proactively, and keeps the family informed with regular updates.Schedule:Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday — ONTuesday & Wednesday — OFF9 hours/day with 1-hour paid lunchTotal: 40 hours/weekResponsibilities:Daily care and feeding of cattle (bulls and cows) and horsesBarn and stable maintenance: cleaning, bedding, mucking, repairs, organizationMonitor animal health: identify illness, injury, or behavioral changes and report immediatelyAssist with loading, moving, and sorting cattle as neededBasic horse handling: grooming, feeding, turnout, and stall careMaintain pastures, fencing, water systems, and equipmentSend daily or as-needed status updates via mobile app: photos and short videos of animals, facilities, and any issuesKeep grounds and facilities clean and orderlyWork independently and manage daily tasks without constant supervisionHelp clean trucks at the truck yardHelp maintain the yard and keeping it cleaned upRequirements:Proven hands-on experience with cattle (bulls and cows) and/or horsesComfortable and confident handling large animals safelyKnowledge of barn and stable operationsSmartphone required: must be comfortable sending photos, short videos, and text updates through a mobile appReliable, physically fit, able to work outdoors in all weatherSelf-motivated and dependable, livestock care does not stopValid driver's license preferredWhat We're Looking For:This is a family ranch. We want someone who treats these animals like their own, communicates openly, and keeps us in the loop without being asked.
