Job summary

NextGen | GTA: A Kelly Telecom Company is seeking a Senior 4G/5G RAN Test Engineer for our Plano, TX onsite team. You will validate LTE and 5G RAN features, perform lab tests, and analyze protocol behavior to drive reliable interop with RAN solutions.

You will develop test cases, conduct L1/L2 protocol analysis, and troubleshoot air-interface and end-to-end performance while coordinating with cross-functional teams. 8–10+ years in wireless testing highly preferred.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of wireless/RAN testing experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
• Hands-on experience with LTE/5G RAN validation, lab testing, and performance Troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform product and feature validation for LTE & 5G RAN solutions
• Develop and execute system-level test cases for new RAN features and software releases
• Perform detailed L1/L2 protocol analysis from UE and RAN perspectives
• Analyze and troubleshoot 4G/5G air-interface, call-processing, and end-to-end performance issues
• Perform lab-based system testing, feature validation, performance analysis, and IOT/interoperability testing
• Support inter-vendor RAN integration and troubleshooting
• Analyze product/feature requirements and translate them into test scenarios
• Support network element configuration, software upgrades, and MOP verification
• Prepare test reports and present technical findings to customers and cross-functional teams
• Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and product teams on new product and feature rollouts

Looking for a Senior 4G/5G RAN Test Engineer- Plano- TX- Onsite

We are looking for an experienced 4G/5G RAN Test Engineer with strong hands-on experience in RAN product/feature validation, lab testing, protocol analysis, system integration, and performance troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform product and feature validation for LTE & 5G RAN solutions


• Develop and execute system-level test cases for new RAN features and software releases


• Perform detailed L1/L2 protocol analysis from UE and RAN perspectives


• Analyze and troubleshoot 4G/5G air-interface, call-processing, and end-to-end performance issues


• Perform lab-based system testing, feature validation, performance analysis, and IOT/interoperability testing


• Support inter-vendor RAN integration and troubleshooting


• Analyze product/feature requirements and translate them into test scenarios

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with 4G LTE and 5G NR RAN


• Strong understanding of PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP and RRC layers


• Strong knowledge of 4G/5G air interface and call processing


• Experience with DL/UL scheduling, LTE power control, Beamforming, MIMO and EN-DC


• Experience with feature validation, system testing, performance analysis and troubleshooting


• Hands-on lab testing and IOT/interoperability testing experience


• Knowledge of 3GPP RAN/Core architecture and specifications


• Experience with S1/X2 interfaces


• Experience with EMS/network element management and software upgrades


• Experience with test tools such as XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, Protocol Analyzers, Channel

Emulators, Spectrum Analyzers and Signal Generators

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field


• 8–10+ years of relevant wireless/RAN testing experience preferred
