American Airlines is hiring Fleet Service Clerks at Chicago O'Hare (ORD). The role involves moving baggage, operating belt loaders, and servicing aircraft at gates. You’ll work outdoors in varying weather, with shifts including weekends and holidays, and must meet safety and security requirements.

Starting pay is $20.63 per hour under the TWU collective bargaining agreement. A high school diploma or GED is required, along with medical and background checks as part of pre-employment processes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or international equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Lift, load, unload, and transport bags and cargo to/from aircraft.
• Must have knowledge of and ability to use basic computer skills.
• Must have secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable.
• Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check and/or fingerprinting.
• Ability to obtain jet bridge certification.
• Must have the ability to pass the USPS background check.

Responsabilités

• Move baggage and cargo to and from aircraft.
• Drive and operate belt loaders.
• Service aircraft at gates with ground power and air conditioning.
• Tow and pushback aircraft from gates.
• Service aircraft lavatories and water ports.
• Clean interior of aircraft when needed.
• Position beverage and luggage carts around ramp area.
• Work shifts that include irregular and extended hours, weekends and holidays.
