Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services the ramp service team in Houston is seeking a dedicated Ramp Service Clerk to handle baggage, cargo and aircraft servicing tasks. This role requires teamwork to ensure efficient operations while following company policies.

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement with TWU. Responsibilities include marshalling aircraft, loading/unloading cargo, cleaning the aircraft interior/exterior and stocking provisions.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED or Equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends, holidays, and days off.
• Ability to successfully communicate with others.

Responsibilities

• Marshall aircraft upon arrival and departure.
• Load and unload baggage and cargo compartments.
• Clean interior and exterior of aircraft.
• Supply cabin services and stock aircraft provisions.
• Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance of ramp and work areas.
• Handle servicing and cleaning of powered and unpowered equipment including fuel farm activities, oil servicing and pump drainage, and other basic equipment servicing as needed.
• Safely drive and operate ground support equipment, including belt loaders, tugs, and baggage carts to pick-up and deliver cargo/bags between the terminal, warehouse and aircraft.
• Perform ground service functions, such as connecting/removing ground power and ground start units and water service.
• Perform aircraft pushback, wing walking and related guide man functions.
• Complete other tasks as directed by management.
• Maintain a secure work environment.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license

**This job is covered by a collective bargaining agreement of the Transport Workers Union (TWU), a labor union which requires joining the TWU and paying union dues.**
