Job summary

Unifi Aviation, LLC in San Diego, CA, is hiring for ramp operations. You will load/unload aircraft, guide aircraft, and safeguard baggage and cargo. Responsibilities include operating pushback gear, recording records, and transporting items to and from aircraft.

Candidates must be at least 18, a U.S. worker, and able to pass drug, background checks, and ramp/SIDA training. Lifting up to 70 pounds and working in tight spaces are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a local (in-state) resident.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen.
• Pass up to a 10-year background check.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have authorization to work in the United States.
• Must complete ramp and SIDA training for airport identification.
• Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull items of 70 pounds and more regularly.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, services, guides, and directs customer aircraft.
• Safeguards baggage, air cargo, airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage and/or destruction.
• Lifts, loads/unloads, sorts and transfers baggage and company materials to/from aircraft bins and carts.
• Operate pushback equipment with visual contact to Wing Walkers for safety.
• Receives and records baggage, airfreight, mail, and company materials.
• Picks up, delivers, and transports cargo and baggage to/from aircraft; prepares records.
