This job involves working various shifts throughout the week, including mornings and afternoons.
Responsibilities
- Loads, unloads, services, guides, and directs customer aircraft.
- Safeguards customers' baggage, air cargo, airmail from weather, loss, theft, damage, and/or destruction.
- Lifts, loads/unloads, sorts, and transfers passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company material in and out of aircraft bins, belt loaders, or baggage carts safely.
- Operates pushback equipment and maintains visual contact with Wing Walkers to ensure safety.
- Records and receives customer baggage, airfreight, mail, and company materials.
- Delivers cargo and baggage to and from aircraft, preparing related records.
- Operates or drives motorized equipment such as belt loaders, lift trucks, pushback tugs, and carts, or manually pushes and pulls carts and containers.
- Completes paperwork related to work assignments and inputs data into the company's information system.
- Performs other duties as assigned within skill and experience capabilities.
Qualifications
- Must be a local (in-state) resident with a valid driver’s license.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and up to a 10-year background check.
- At least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Complete ramp and SIDA training for airport security identification.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing 70 pounds regularly, and lift 40-50 pounds on raised surfaces.
- Ability to walk, climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop frequently and for extended periods.
- Able to work in cramped or high places and carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs.
- High School diploma or GED; relevant experience preferred.
